My contentment unravels
As the neat pin holding the coil of my troubles in place
Snaps free
Pain, Resentment, Uncertainty, Anger
Rush to the surface
And i feel the chain of piercing needles
wrap tighter around my heart

I watch helpless as she takes my place
Still tasting the salt of tears
From the nonchalant rejection "less trouble"
A cold shiver runs through my body
(he no longer keeps me warm)
I pull my sheet closer around me
As i lay in bed i think
