Re: Beijin 08
well people my work pc is back, after trouble here in beijing. Now for the report , Bolt was the first jamaican to medal, first male to win the 100m , first to run 9.69 legally. he literally started tocelbrate 75 metres in the race and even turned around before crossing the line beating his chest its was a one of a kind performance ( u have to see it to believe it).Bolt gave a victory lap to remember , barefooted and all he did the nuh linga dance which excited the people here in china. He gave them a taste of Jamaica i a way that the Jamaica Tourist Board could not do better.Asafa came fifth but we still wish him all the best for the 4x100m and we still proud of him.
It was then the girls oppertunity to continue the pandemonium here in Beijing and they did not dissappoint. They cam in 1-2-2 , yes people 1-2-2 after the official were unable to separate sherone simpson and kerron stewart , but wat run from shelly-ann frazer. She was like a bullet out the blocks and kept her compusure to the end to secure gold. A champion run from shelly ann she was so happy i think she forget to do her victory lap as all she did was jump uncontrollably. in the male 400m hurdles danny mcfarlane was edged out of bronze contention by the american trio , none the less proud he showed us champion fighting to the end.
There was major upset in the womens 400 meters as sanya richards tthe american favourite had to settle behind gbr and jamaica for a bronze medal . so jamaica here again showing resiliance to cop the silver in an unexpected way. More golds are in coming as bolt so far has been jogging past the competition in the 200m so far and the 3 ladies veronica, sherone and kerron look fabulous for the 200m (maybe 1-1-1 this time).Plus the relays are ahead .
Bad note now: Usa have submited to protest 1. that they had false started and the race should be run over( how stupid u false start come last and complaining sore losers). 2. Since they cant separate the athletes for 2nd and 3rd they should be given bronze for 4th. Let me tell u both were laugh at and thrown out by the IOC quite rightly so.
Then come usa commentators and surprisingly ato Boldon critisizing boolt for his celebration . Now as a caribbean person boldon should know better.
Caribbean and Africans on a whole thats how we celebrate we make noice, dance , bang things, run wild ,even fire shots. We are not like europeans who sit and clap as a form of celebration. Its a form of mental slavery we need to get rid of. Bolt celebrated the best way he knew how to by being himself (Jamaican)and we are very proud. Boldon and usa tek weh unuh self . Thats it 4 now
