I seal this kiss upon thy cheek,
Forgetting all but your dear eyes.
Too much for any one to seek.
My ruination is your lies.
I seal this kiss upon thy lips,
Throwing away the pain of dawn.
My control loosens in mere slips;
I fear that you'll soon be but gone.
I seal this kiss upon thy hand;
Not loving what may never be
Nor claiming all your foreign land.
Care as I leave and you will see;
